Allegra Mostyn-Owen is a London studio potter; she specializes in altered wheel-thrown forms and glaze experiments.

Her work is informed by the enduring resonance of ancient forms. She plays with the paradoxes inherent in clay, combining the primitive with the modern, the utilitarian with the sculptural, embedding the universality of its language in contained generosity.

Allegra often combines regular wheel-thrown forms with sculptural decoration to suggest latent life, as if the clay is trapping the creature inside whose shape is implied in the bulge of a pot's belly or the spine of its handle.

Marcia Scott is an established contemporary artist, who was born and brought up in the United Kingdom. She works from her London studio, a sacred and spiritual space to inspire ‘a revolution of love and healing through abstract art.’

Flow is the dominant dynamic of Marcia’s recent paintings. Flow is what creates the shapes; and its cessation, its edges, its boundaries and its dissipations are what determine the interrelations between those shapes and the static colour fields within which they swirl, puddle, convolute and configure. These are not relations of figure and ground: an oil slick has no figure; the sea provides no ground.

One of the most remarkable things about Marcia’s paintings is their resistance to any such figural or narrative reading: we have enough to wonder at in the play of flowing, merging, marbling colour shapes and in the sharp definitions, edge and limit, of arrested flux.

Cecilia Bentley Bortoluzzi is a Swedish-Italian artist living in London. She grew up in Sweden where she was surrounded by nature. The inspiration for her paintings is still drawn from landscape and the outdoors. However, Cecilia’s work has never been about 'horizons, trees and lakes', instead she expresses her connections, thoughts and feelings about the environment and translates them into abstract pictures.

Living in the centre London, her work is an attempt to balance the intensity of the man-made, multi-layered world with something more serene and pure. Cecilia’s work process is a dialogue between herself and the canvas. Every moment of that dialogue is like a battle with the elements and appears to be like a documentation of time itself.

The artist own words: “When a painting finally works and it has become its own little entity, them it is time to stop, stepping back and letting it dry. The world outside goes on as usual but 'in there' inside the painting something very separate from that is happening”.

Mike T. Roberts, landscape painter, based in Cowden, Kent, is presenting his new work, which was created during lockdown in 2020:

“As an artist I bathed in the new-found extra time and threw myself into painting, it being April Bluebells were out and I had access to nearby beautiful woods nearby. However as the lockdown went on my work became more and more introspective until it was announced we could go out for exercise for unlimited time, it was then that I ventured out to the rolling hills of mid Kent and the heat way which was May 2020. Since then I have meet up with fellow artists, compared notes on materials and techniques and slowly got the creative car back on the road.”

Pete Mantle is a painter and sculptor. He grew up in Hampshire, surrounded by nature. Currently he is based in Kentish Town, London. Pete’s background is professional gardening and one of his passions is early morning bird-watching, usually on nearby Hampstead Heath.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Pete’s work got deeply inspired by his walks on the heath. He captured the scenery with his camera and painted his impressions in his studio, experimenting with oil on canvas.
